Abstract
The present Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry implements the Act on animal by-products (No. 517 of 2015). It contains 7 articles divided into the following chapters: 1) General provisions; 2) Use of by-products and derived products as feed; and 3) Disposal of by-products and derived products. Annex 1 concerns the processing of skinned bodies; Annex 2 concerns requirements for feed establishments; Annex 3 concerns processing requirements of by-products; and Annex 4 concerns special rules for disposal of animal by-products.
The Act regulates matters such as the use of animal by-products as feed in aquaculture; the use of animal by-products as feed for wild animals; the use of milk and derived products for the feeding of food-producing animals; etc.
