Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry relative to fish and fish products and to processed and prepared fish and fish products which are imported from third countries (No. 513 of 1996).

The scope of this Decree is to safeguard the food hygiene qualities of fish and fish products imported from countries outside the European Communities. Section 2 defines the application sphere of the Regulation. Section 3 concerns the importation of living fish and crayfish, for which regard shall also be had to Regulation 489/94 and Decree 59/90 both concerning the prevention of spreading of animal diseases. Section 5 concerns the importation of prepared fish and fish products from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, whereas section 6 prescribes rules for the importation of such products from other third countries. Section 8 makes sections 5 to 7 also applicable to landing of fish products from fishing vessels from third countries. (13 sections)
