Abstract
This Decree is made pursuant to sections 4 and 9 of Regulation 522/92 and section 5 of Regulation 521/92 which provide for the delegation of regulation making powers to the Ministry of Trade and Industry with respect to limitations which may be placed on the use of additives respectively aromas and its ingredients. Section 5 concerns the use of additives in food imitations. The Attachment specifies various quality criteria with which additives must comply and provide additives with a number code. Section 11 contains the so-called 'one-hundred percent rule' which places a limit on the combined use of preservation and anti-oxidation substances.
