Decree relative to Forestry Centres and the Central Forestry Development Institute (No. 93 of 1996).

This Regulation implements provisions of the Act which provides for the establishment of various Forestry Centres and a central institute for forest development.
The 44 sections are divided into 5 Chapters: Rules relative to the Forestry Centres (1); The Central Forestry Development Institute Tapio (2), Provisions common to the Forestry Centres and the Forestry Development Institute (3); The Inspectorate (4); Entry into force and transitional provisions (5).
Section 1 outlines in rather general terms the tasks of the Forestry Centres, whereas section 2 defines the tasks of the Board of Directors. The remaining provisions of Chapter 1 deal with the composition of the Board of Directors, nomination, etc. Provisions of Chapter 2 follow the same pattern and regulate the same matters as those of Chapter 1 for the Development Institute. Common provisions are formulated with respect to such matters as financing (sect. 22), control of means (sect. 24), and bookkeeping and accounting (sects. 25-36).
