Abstract
This Order is the main text implementing the Fisheries Act 1982. It provides for fisheries resources management and conservation measures such as the regulation of the use of gear (sects. 3-16), closed seasons for fishing for certain species (sect. 17), and minimum size of fish (sect. 19), fisheries areas as administration units in the sense of section 70 of the Act (sects. 29-32), rights of fishing in State fishery waters (sects. 33-45) and control and enforcement measures (sects. 46-50). Chapter IV concerns fishing regions. The organizations referred to in section 73(1)(4) of the Fishing Act are those fishing associations which are registered associations and directly or indirectly member organizations of the Federation of Finnish Fisheries Association or the Finnish Association of Professional Fishermen. The organizations referred to in section 73(1)(5) are registered associations and the regional organizations of the Finnish Recreational Fishermen’s Central 7 Association, the Finnish Hunters’ and Fishermen’s Association as well as the Finnish Sports Fishermen’s Association.
