Abstract
The present Government Decree contains provisions on the general conditions for granting support regarding the following area-based agricultural supports: 1. Support referred to in Article 16.2 and 16.3(a) and Articles 69(a)[environmental, climate-related and other management commitments;] and (b) [natural or other area-specific constraints]of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 of the European Parliament and of the Council; and 2. Support for crop production as referred to in Section 9 of the Act on National Support for Agriculture and Horticulture (1559/2001) and support for animal husbandry as referred to in Section 10 and Section 10e of the same Act. The Act defines the term "Agricultural land" for purposes of the support schemes regulated. Section 13 regulates the support-eligible area in terms of European Union direct support to farmers.

This Decree applies in the Åland Islands when granting the support referred to its Section 1, if the matter falls within the legislative competence of the State under the Autonomy Act for Åland (1144/1991).
