Abstract
This Act makes provision for flood and coastal erosion risk management in England and Wales. It requires national and local strategies for this purpose to be developed for England and for Wales and The Environment Agency must report to the Minister about flood and coastal erosion risk management. It shall also establish a Regional Flood and Coastal Committee for each region it has identified for purposes of management. The Minister may amend selected legislation for purposes of giving effect to this Act. The Act provides for, among other things: matters relating to infrastructure projects; compulsory work orders; sustainable drainage; and water reservoirs.

This Act amends the Reservoirs Act, 1975 and some other Acts. The Fisheries Committee appointed under section 5(2) of the Electricity (Scotland) Act 1979 is abolished.Version of the Act up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 16 November 2018.
