Abstract
These Regulations provide rules relative to the placing on the market of infant formulae and follow-on formulae in England. They implement Community requirements relating to nutritional and specified compositional criteria for baby food including criteria for residues. The Regulations also prohibit a food business operator to place an infant formula on the market that has not yet been placed on the market in the United Kingdom unless that food business operator has given prior notice to the Food Standards Agency. The Regulations also prescribe rules relative to labelling and advertisement.
