Abstract
These Regulations give effect to Commission Directive 2006/141/EC. They prohibit marketing in Wales of infant formula and follow-on formula which contravenes or fails to comply with rules as laid down by these Regulations regarding nutritional requirements, compositional criteria, standards regarding residues, labelling and advertisement. The Regulations also require a food business operator placing a new infant formula on the market in the Inited Kingdom to give prior notice to the Food Standards Agency.
