Invasive Alien Species (Enforcement and Permitting) Order 2019 (S.I. No. 527 of 2019).

This Order, for purposes of giving effect to Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species, places control on the importation and exportation of invasive alien species as listed by the European Commission in accordance with the Regulation. The Order, among other things, designates the competent authorities who are responsible for the official controls to prevent the introduction of invasive alien species, provides for civil sanctions, provides for the issue of permits in accordance with the Regulation, and provides with respect to enforcement.
