Abstract
These Regulations make provision for the enforcement and execution in Wales of directly applicable European Union marketing standards relating to poultrymeat. They, among other things: make the failure to comply with selected provisions of Commission Regulation (EC) No 543/2008 and other EU legislation an offence; make provision in relation to the registration of slaughterhouses and producers as required by Article 12 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 543/2008 and provide for appeals against a decision to refuse such a registration; and provide for enforcement.
Schedule 1 of these Regulations set out European poultrymeat provisions contravention of which may result in the issuing of a compliance notice.
