Abstract
These Regulations provide for the payment of aid to be made available by the Scottish Ministers from the Scotland Rural Development Programme to any person who enters into an undertaking with the Scottish Ministers to carry out the activities relevant to at least one of the rural priorities options set out in Schedule 2, and, where relevant, one or more than one of the capital items set out in relation to a particular rural priorities option or set out in Schedule 3. The Regulations also provide that, where a person enters into an undertaking which includes an activity under certain rural priorities options, he or she must also comply with the requirements established by Article 4 of and Annex III to Council Regulation (EC) No. 1782/2003, the good agricultural and environmental conditions specified in regulation 4 of and the Schedule to the Common Agricultural Policy Schemes (Cross-Compliance) (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the condition and requirements specified in Parts 1 and 2 of Schedule 4 to these Regulations.
