Abstract
This Order places restrictions on the fishing, transhipment and landing of tope within the British fishery limits. The Order does not apply in its entirety to fishery waters of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands and does not apply to certain (foreign) fishing vessels. It prohibits the fishing for tope by any method other than by rod and line and sets out the powers of British sea-fishery officers in respect of activities prohibited by this Order. Sanctions for offences are prescribed by the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967.
