Abstract
This Order, made under the Animal Health Act 1981, confers powers on the Department of Agriculture in relation to tuberculosis in bovine animals in Northern Ireland. It makes provision for precautions against spread of infection of bovine animals. The Order provides for, among other things: reporting by keepers of animals and veterinary surgeons to a Divisional Veterinary Officer; examination of an animal by the Department of Agriculture; specific restrictions on a herd keeper; cleansing and disinfection; seizure and slaughter of animals; separation of bovine animals from non-bovine animals; and control of non-bovine animals.
