Abstract
These Regulations implement Community legislation and amend existing Regulations so as to: prevent the disposal of waste automotive and industrial batteries in landfill or incineration; allow for the mixing of types of waste portable batteries and accumulators at distributors premises; and provide for exemptions from waste management licensing for storage of waste batteries and accumulators, and for specific licence conditions for waste batteries and accumulators.
