Abstract
The Resolution provides for safety rules when handling ionizing radiation sources. It consists of six chapters: General provisions (I); Main requirements for radiation safety (II); Planned radiation situation (III); Medical radiation (IV); Accidental radiation (V); and Existing radiation situation (VI). The Resolution provides for requirements imposed on the control and safety near ionizing sources of radiation; safety standards for the protection of workers, the public, patients and other persons under medical radiation; safety standards in radiation accidents; requirements imposed on open or unsupervised ionizing sources; permitted levels of radio-nuclide concentration in potable and mineral water, materials and soil, as well as in construction materials.
