Resolution No. 472 of 2018 of Georgian Government on Regulation of Plastic and Biodegradable Bags

The Resolution regulates plastic and biodegradable bags. It consists of eight articles: Scope of regulation (1); Purpose and object of regulation (2); Definition of terms (3); Requirements for placing on market of plastic, biodegradable and compostable bags (4); Compliance assessment (5); Labelling (6); Compliance control (7); and Liability for violating these rules. The purpose of the Resolution is to reduce the harmful effect of using plastic bags on the environment and human health.
