Abstract
The purpose of this Law is to comply with European Union Directive 2001/77/EC and consequently to promote an increase in the contribution of renewable energy sources to electricity production in the internal market of the country. The text lays down procedures for obtaining a license (mandatory) for electric power production and the establishment of plants. Also, a Guarantee of Origin, a certificate issued by the competent authorities, is requested in order to ascertain that the electricity produced comes from renewable energy sources. Contents, competent Bodies and administrative procedures are covered under articles 15-18.
