Law no. 5184 of 2025. Interprofessional organisations, strengthening the agricultural sector, organisation of services and supervised bodies of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and restarting the agricultural economy and other provisions.

This Law, consisting of 47 articles, concerns the following matters: the modernisation of the operation of interprofessional organisations in the agricultural sector, through the creation of the National Council of Interprofessional Organisations; measures in the veterinary sector and in particular regarding the sanitary burial of dead animals and animal by-products and the provision of administrative and criminal sanctions for the illegal trafficking of veterinary medicines; fines for livestock farmers whose animals damage agricultural lands; procedure and the specific deadline for the preparation of grazing management plans; procedure for controlling, certifying and licensing the production, processing and distribution of agricultural products on Mount Athos; creation of competent bodies for the control of plant protection products; change in the composition of the Fisheries Council; ensuring the necessary personnel for the implementation of the national fisheries data collection programme; appropriate financial tools to entities dealing with agricultural loans, for the consolidation of the relevant contracts and the restart of the agricultural economy; establishment of an integrated greenhouse gas emissions recording system for the mitigation of climate change in agriculture.
