Abstract
With this Decision all the necessary complementary measures are taken so as to implement the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1452/2003 maintaining the derogation provided for in article 6(3)(a) of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91 with regard to certain species of seed and vegetative propagating material and laying down procedural rules and criteria relating to that derogation. To this end conditions and procedures are established by this Decision for creating and managing a computerized database which will contain data for organically produced seed varieties of cultivated plant species and potato tubers. It will also contain data on the exceptional granting of licenses to farmers for using conventional seeds and potato tubers.
