Abstract
Aim of the present Decree is to establish the additional measures required for the implementation of the provisions of point b, paragraph 2, article 22 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 and the provisions of article 45 and chapter 7 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008 with regard to the use of potato seed or potato vegetative propagating material not obtained by the organic production method. Article 6 to this Decree establishes the rules for obtaining an authorization to use non-organic potato seed or vegetative propagating material if not available from organic production. Article 7 provides for the procedures for issuing such license. The Decree also makes provisions as regards the registration of organic potato propagating material to the electronic database of the Ministry of Agriculture (articles 2 to 5).

As from the entry into force of the present Decree, Ministerial Joint Decision No. 288915/2006 shall be repealed.
