Decree on compensation fees for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons.

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons, prescribes the manner of determining, the amount and ratio of the distribution of compensation fees for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons, exploitation of geothermal waters for energy purposes, storage of natural gas and permanent disposal of carbon dioxide in geological structures. The monetary compensation shall be the revenue of state budget of the Republic of Croatia, and shall be entirely transferred to the local self-government unit in whose territory the exploration area or exploitation field is located (exception for exploration area or exploitation field in the continental shelf of the Republic of Croatia which revenue shall be transferred directly to state budget of the Republic of Croatia).
