Decree on the environmental damage responsibility.

This Decree determines: the activities considered to be environmentally and/or humanly hazardous and/or potentially dangerous, the criteria for assessing threats and effective environmental damage, the most appropriate environmental damage mitigation measures, , the way to remedy the damage to the environment (including special conditions for certain environmental constituents, protected species and natural habitats), and other related issues.
The rules here stipulated are also in accordance with the provisions of the: Directive 2004/35/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 April 2004 on environmental liability with regard to the prevention and remedying of environmental damage; Directive 2006/21/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2006 on the management of waste from mineral-processing and amending Directive 2004/35/EC; Directive 2009/31/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 on geological storage of carbon dioxide and amending Council Directive 85/337/EEC, Directive 2000/60/EC, 1013/2006; and Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 June 2013 on the safety of offshore oil and gas activities and amending Directive 2004/35/EC.
