Decree on substances that deplete the ozone layer and fluorinated greenhouse gases.

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on climate change and ozone layer protection, prescribes the treatment of controlled and new substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases (fluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, sulfur hexafluoride and other greenhouse gases containing fluorine), the treatment of devices and equipment containing or relying on those substances, the treatment of those substances after cessation of use of devices and equipment containing them, the leak test, the method of collection, recovery and destruction of these substances, the amount of compensation to cover the costs of collection, recovery and destruction of such substances and the method of calculating the costs of collection, recovery and destruction of these substances, obligations to centers for collection, recovery and storage of gases, obligations of the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, the manner of labelling devices and equipment containing or depending on these substances, the manner of reporting on these substances, conducting network applications for ozone depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases and data on fixed equipment and systems and other related issues. This text also ensures the implementation of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/661 of 25 April 2019 ensuring the smooth functioning of the electronic registry for quotas for placing hydrofluorocarbons on the market (article 2).
