Abstract
This Law changes various articles part of the provisions provided by the Law on genetically modified organisms (Official Gazette 70/2005 and 137/2009).
Major changes are related to the general terms, definitions and denominations; administrative and legal provisions and procedures; inspection and official control issues; analysis and laboratory standards; and other technical aspect regarding the GMO’s and/or similar on the Croatian territory.
This Law further adopts various Council Directives and their technical provisions in order to assimilate EU and other international standards.

Entry into force notes
This Law will be published in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia" and shall enter into force on the date of accession of the Republic of Croatian into the EU.
