Abstract
This Law prescribes all types and related rules for state aid to agriculture and rural development and complete policies for state subsidies and beneficiaries of state aid.
State aid within the meaning of this Law covers direct payments and support for rural development measures.
State aid for rural development includes the following measures: measures aimed to improve the competitiveness of agriculture; measures aimed to preserve the environment and rural areas; measures aimed to improve the life and other basic conditions in rural areas.
This Law further prescribes all necessary provisions for the administrative requirements, various technical issues and standards, measures aimed to help the final user, and offences and penalties.
The Law is divided into 6 Chapters and 85 articles.
The Annex is an integral part of this Law.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 5 paragraph 1 to 6 and the provisions of article 63 paragraph 2 which shall enter into force on 1 January 2011.
