Abstract
This Regulation provides animal health requirements for: a) collection, transportation, storage, handling, processing and use or removal (waste) of products of animal origin, in order to preserve the health of animals or humans; b) placing on the market and, in certain special cases, export and transit of animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption.
This Regulation is not to be applied on the provisions of the veterinary legislation related to control and eradicate certain diseases.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions listed in article 35 that shall enter in use on the day of Croatian entrance into the European Union.
Notes
With the entry into force of this Regulation, the Regulation on handling of animal by-products not intended for human consumption (Official Gazette 56/06) will be no longer in use.
