Regulation on auxiliary substances in food production process.

This Regulation prescribes all necessary conditions for the use of auxiliary or subsidiary substances in the food and food ingredients production process, including extraction solvents.
The provisions of this Regulation shall also apply to auxiliary substances in the production process, including extraction solvents, which are used or intended for use in the manufacture of food or food ingredients imported into the European Union. These provisions shall not apply to excipients in production processes, including extraction solvents and food containing auxiliary substances and extraction solvents which are exported from the European Union.
This text further transmits the following documents into the Croatian legal system: Directive 2009/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to extraction solvents used in the production of food and food ingredients; Commission Directive 2010/59/EU of 26 August 2010 amending Directive 2009/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to extraction solvents used in the production of food and food ingredients; Directive 2016/1855/EU of 19 October 2016 amending Directive 2009/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to extraction solvents used in the production of food and food ingredients.
The Annex (Parts I, II and III) is also part of this publication (list of extracting solvents used in accordance with good manufacturing practice for all uses; list of extracting solvents for which the conditions of use are not outlined; and list of extracting solvents for which the conditions of use are specified).
