Regulation on the conditions and method of obtaining and verifying the education and knowledge on protection against hazardous chemicals.

This Regulation sets the necessary conditions and methods for obtaining and verifying the education or knowledge (that is carried out by institutions/legal entities authorized by the Ministry of Health) on the protection against hazardous chemicals for workers before the commencement of work or activity with hazardous chemicals, and further defines the terms of additional of programmed future education.
These rules are aimed for all legal and natural persons involved in the handling, production, placing on the market and use of hazardous chemicals (if present or based on the territory of the Republic of Croatia).
Hazardous substances, object of this text are classified as very toxic chemicals; toxic chemicals; harmful chemicals; corrosive chemicals; carcinogenic chemicals of category 1, 2 and 3; mutagenic chemicals 1, 2 and 3 and reproductive toxic chemicals 1, 2 and 3, or chemicals that are classified into one of the following hazard categories: acute toxicity 1, 2, 3, and 4. categories; corrupting category 1, subcategory 1.A and 1.B; and other (see full list in the article 2).
