Abstract
This Regulation stipulates the standards and rules regarding the specific structural and chemical composition, physical and other chemical properties of raw milk (intended for manufacture of drinking milk and milk products and or similar, and related to the milk originating from domestic bovine animals, sheep and goats).
This Regulation further determines the adoption of various terms and provisions contained in the Commission Regulation (EU) No 479/2010 of 1 June 2010 laying down the rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 regarding the notification of the Commission by the Member States in the sector of milk and milk products; Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin; Regulation (EU) no.1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing a common organization of agricultural markets and its repealing Regulations (EEC) No. 922/72, (EEC) 234/79, (EC) 1037/2001 and (EC) 1234/2007.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on 1 April 2017, except for the provisions of article 6 (paragraph 1, subparagraph 7) and article 8 (paragraph 5) which shall enter into force on 1 April 2018.
