Regulation on the drafting and implementation of the Marine Strategy and Coastal Management Strategy documents.

This Regulation establishes the starting bases and benchmarks for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Marine and Coastal Management Strategy, including various related issues and provisions.
This Regulation contains provisions also part of the following acts of the European Union and the United Nations Environment Program: Directive 2008/56/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of marine environmental policy; Commission Decision 2010/477/EU on criteria and methodological standards on good environmental condition; and with the rules of the Protocol of the Barcelona Convention on Integrated Coastal Zone Management of the Mediterranean, also ratified by the Republic of Croatia (Law on the confirmation of the Protocol on integrated coastal zone management of the Mediterranean, Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia 08/2012).
