Regulation establishing the ecodesign requirements for energy related products.

Type of law

This Regulation establishes provides a complete set of rules aimed to define and control the framework for setting the European Union ecodesign standards when dealing with products related to energy market with the aim of ensuring the free movement of those products within the internal market.
This Regulation further provides for the determination of requirements to be met by products associated with energy by implementing specific internationally recognized measures, in order to be placed on the market. These measure are established for the direct contribution to sustainable development by increasing energy efficiency and the level of environmental protection while at the same time increasing the security of energy supply.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
