Abstract
This Regulation defines the procedure and the amount of fees for the European Union Environmental Label (also called EU Ecolabel) as well as the composition and functioning of the Advisory Expert Committee as well as the participation of individuals, associations and organizations in the EU Ecolabel award procedure and other related issues.
The EU Ecolabel Program is a voluntary environmental protection instrument designed to promote various products and services with less/adverse environmental impacts throughout the life cycle compared to similar or similar products and services from the same group, and shall be applied/assigned to goods and services supplied for distribution, consumption or use in the European Community market, except for human-use medical products, veterinary medicinal products and any type of medical equipment.
The rules here stipulated are also in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation (EC) No. 66/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the EU logo for the environment.
