Abstract
This Regulation provides handling procedures for raw milk, review of performance and measures taken to ensure the safety of milk intended for public consumption in raw or processed state.
Milk intended for human consumption must come from animals: a) not showing symptoms of contagious diseases transmissible to humans through milk; b) who are in good general health and show no signs of disease that could lead to contamination of milk, no visible inflammation of the udder; that do not have any udder injuries; c) which are administered unauthorized substances or products; d) where the prescribed withdrawal periods were respected if they were withheld from an approved veterinary medicinal products.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
