Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the permissibility of uses and other requirements for food additives used in foods with a view to ensuring the effective functioning of markets, high level of protection of human health, consumer interests, the need for environmental protection and fair conduct in food trade.
This Regulation provides for: a) a list of approved additives set out in Annex II and III of this Regulation; b) conditions for use of food additives, including the additives in food enzymes; c) the identification of additives that are put on the market as such; d) the criteria of purity for food additives.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
With the entry into force of this Regulation, the Regulation on Food Additives (Official Gazette 81/08) will be no longer in force.
