Abstract
This Regulation provides terms and conditions for the production, processing and distribution of food subjected to ionizing radiation.
Food that is subjected to ionizing radiation, before being subjected to ionizing radiation must be fit for human consumption.
Subjecting food to ionizing radiation can not be used in combination with chemical agents that achieve the same purpose as ionizing radiation.
Food subjected to ionizing radiation may be marketed only if it meets all the provisions of this Regulation.
Full Annex I - V are an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 12, article 15 paragraph 2 and 3 and Annex V of this Regulation, which shall enter into force on the day of Croatian entrance in to the European Union.
Notes
On the effective date of this Regulation, the Regulation on the conditions of preservation of food items and the use of ionizing radiation (Official Gazette 46/94) will be no longer in force.
