Abstract
This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Croatian Law on genetically modified organisms, defines the form and manner for keeping of the register of genetically modified organisms, and further determines the manner for calculating of related costs of register functioning and maintenance (register to be kept in both written and electronic form). The register of GMOs shall keep records of data on closed systems, issued certificates and approvals for restricted use of GMOs, on intentional introduction of GMOs into the environment for purposes other than placing on the market and placing of GMOs or products that consist of or contain a GMO or a combination of GMOs on the market. This Register also contains set of data with additional confidential information to which only the Member States of the European Union, the European Commission and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) have access.
