Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the necessary rules and standards to be met during the production and placing on the market of honey (apiculture product), in terms of names, definitions and general requirements; sensory properties and composition; additional marking requirements.
This text transposes and respects the provisions contained in the following documents: Council Directive 2001/110/EC of 20 December 2001 related to the honey; and its amending Directive 2014/63/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
