Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the manner of loading, unloading and veterinary health inspection of consignments of animals, products and wastes of animal origin, semen for artificial insemination and fertilized ova for insemination of animals in domestic and international traffic, the conditions to be met during transport, and veterinary health conditions to be met.
Transport of live animals can be carried out by a legal or natural persons registered for the activity of transport, trade in animals, slaughtering or processing activity, or owner of the animal in person.
For the load of fish, crustaceans, molluscs and shellfish that is done immediately after unloading from the ship, required veterinary-medical examination is performed only when loading into another vehicle.
During the transportation of bees, bee hives with communities must have ventilation openings covered with wire mesh.
Semen for artificial insemination, fertilized ova and embryos of animals must be, depending on the method of preparation, transported in containers adapted for that particular purpose.
Meat is loaded as chilled, frozen and deep-frozen, packed and unpacked.
Milk that is not packaged must be transported in special tanks, containers or pots.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on 1 March 2005.
Notes
On the effective date of this Regulation, the Regulation on the manner of loading and unloading of consignments of animals, raw materials, products and wastes of animal origin and hygienic and technical conditions to be met during transportation and shipment in domestic and international traffic (Official Gazette 97/98) will be no longer in use.
