Regulation on measures for prevention of the occurrence and for early detection of African swine fever virus infection on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

This Regulation prescribes the measures for prevention of the occurrence and for early detection of African swine fever virus infection on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
In order to prevent the occurrence and early detection of African swine fever virus intake, the following measures shall be taken: the grazing of pigs and the release of pigs into the open air shall be prohibited unless the pigs are kept in a double-enclosure enclosure registered as such in the Unified Register of Domestic Animals; pig holders must ensure that all pigs kept shall have proper identification marks, and that are kept in a manner that completely prevents any direct and indirect contact of domestic pigs with wild animals; swine veterinarian notification issues; pig or swine holders shall ensure the full implementation of the biosecurity measures laid down in the annual Regulation on the protection and financing of the animal health of infectious and parasitic diseases and the implementation of preventive biosecurity measures to reduce the risk of the introduction of the African swine fever virus into domestic pigs; and several other specific hygiene-sanitary measures, see article 1 for the complete list of adopted rules.
