Abstract
This Regulations provides for: definitions, standards, documents needed, declarations and other certificates, quality requirements, list of meets and products to be considered, transport and storage demands.
This Regulation shall regulate general and minimum requirements for the production and placing on the market of meet, meat of animals for slaughter and game, and refers to: a) terms, definitions and general requirements that must be met; b) composition and sensory properties; c) type and quantity of raw materials and other substances used in production and processing; d) the technological process used in manufacturing and processing; e) additional or specific requirements regarding labelling and marking; f) sampling and analytical methods for quality control.
The provisions of this Regulation shall not apply to products placed on the Croatian market, which are produced and marketed in the EU Member States, if they are in accordance with their national legislation.
In the production of meat products, only meat and organs of slaughtered animals and wildlife can be used, for which the veterinary inspection showed that are harmless for human consumption.
Products that are marketed as a packaged food or packages, unless otherwise prescribed by the this Regulation, must comply with special regulations on metrological requirements for packaging.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
On the effective date of this Regulation, the provisions of the Regulation on the quality of meat products (Official Gazette 53/91, 96/97, 158/03) will be no longer in force.
