Abstract
This Regulation prescribes all necessary standards and quality requirements for the related import, production and placing on the market of products with milk and milk products intended for human consumption.
Dairy products are put on the market under the following names: whey; sour cream; butter; buttermilk; liquid butter; casein; anhydrous milk fat (AMF); cheese; yogurt; kefir; koumiss.

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

This Regulation adopts the provisions of Council Directive 2000/13/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 20 March 2000 in order to comply with the Laws of the Member States relating to the labelling, presentation and advertising of foodstuff. This Regulation adopts the provisions of Council Directive 84/450/EEC of 10 September 1984. Related to the coordination of Laws, regulations and administrative procedures of the Member States concerning misleading advertising. This Regulation adopts the provisions of Council Directive (EEC). 496/90 of 24 September 1990. on nutrition labelling for foodstuffs, as amended by Commission Directive (EC) no. 2003/120 of 5 December 2003.
