Abstract
This Regulation provides for all necessary standards and requirements for the implementation of the sampling plan and the methods of analysis for the official control of the levels of mycotoxins in food and foodstuff.
Sampling shall be carried out by a person authorised for carrying out official controls in accordance with a special regulation.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

This Regulation enters into force on 31 March 2009.
Notes
Special regulation on maximum levels of certain contaminants in foodstuffs will be aligned with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 of 19 December 2006 setting maximum levels of certain contaminants in foodstuffs and Council Regulation (EEC) No 315/93 of 8 February 1993 laying down Community procedures for contaminants in food. This Regulation transposes the provisions of the Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and welfare rules.
