Abstract
This Regulation prescribes all necessary standards and specific conditions for imports of food and feed originating in or shipped from Japan after the incident at the Fukushima nuclear plant.
The provisions of this Regulation shall not apply to food and feed which is exported from Japan before 28 March 2011or which is harvested and/or processed before 11 March 2011.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on the day of its publication in the "Official Gazette" except for the provisions of article 16 which shall enter into force on the day of Croatian accession to the European Union.

This Regulation contains provisions that are in accordance with the following acts of the European Union: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 284/2012 of 29 March 2012 laying down specific rules for the import of food and feed originating in or shipped from Japan after an incident at the Fukushima nuclear plant and repealing Regulation (EU) no. 961/2011 (OJ L 92, 30 3rd 2012); and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 561/2012 of 27 June 2012 that changed and altered implementing Commission Regulation (EU) no. 284/2012 laying down specific rules for the import of food and feed originating in or shipped from Japan after the incident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant (OJ L 168, 28 6. 2012).
