Abstract
This Regulation provides for forestry and plant protection measures aimed at preventing the spread and aimed at suppressing the harmful organism Ips typographus, also known as the European spruce bark beetle.
This text also sets the classification of infected areas, forest remediation and restoration measures; determines the competent national and local authorities and terms for the implementation of the baove mentioned measures.
The main purpose of this Regulation is to protect the public interest and to preserve the forests in the area of Gorski Kotar, Republic of Croatia, as a good thing of interest and in order to prevent further damage, to reduce and eliminate the damages and return or restore the previous state.
The Annex is an integrated part of this publication (full list of cadastral parcels in affected areas; list of all recognized integrated forestry protection measures for the suppression and defense against the ips typographus).
