Abstract
An Act to regulate the cultivation, production and marketing of grapes utilised for the production of wine and other related products. The text consists of 58 Articles divided into 9 Chapters as following: General Provisions (1); Wine-growing and Wine-selling Institute (2); Production of Grapes, Wine and Products of Grapes or Wine (3); Appellation of Origin (4); Trade of Grapes, Wine and Products of Grapes and Wine (5); Reimbursements (6); Inspection (7); Offences (8) and Transitional and Final provisions (9).The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry is authorized to issue regulations related to the production of wine, as well as quality requirements for various kinds of wine (Chapter 1). The Wine-growing and Wine-selling Institute shall keep the winegrower's register (Chapter 2). Chapter 3 sets out requirements for the production of wine and other issues such as added substances, production place, registration of wine producers, grape-gathering record keeping etc. Chapter 5 deals with the hygienic requirements of containers and lists measures to be taken in process of packaging and labelling, either in external or internal trade. The supervision of this Act is entrusted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
