Abstract
This Act applies to the agricultural and food industry products, to persons or legal entities producing, processing and marketing these products. Chapter II defines terms used in this Act. Chapter III deals with the institutional system of agrarian market regulation (the Minister and the product councils). Chapter IV sets forth provisions regarding the applicable methods of market regulation and provides for national financial resources. Rules regarding guaranteed price and guiding price, contracts and quotas, special rules regarding product councils are also specified in this Chapter. An information system on market regulation, harmonized with the statistic data supply system, must be operated by the minister of agriculture. Part 3 of this Act gives general rules regarding inter-professional organizations for fruit and vegetables and for wine-industry. This Part contains rules regarding the payment of market development subsidy and the application of market development measures.
