Government Regulation (PP) Number 27 of 2020 concerning Specific Waste Management.

This Government Regulation, implementing provisions of article 23 paragraph 2 of the Law no. 18 of 2008 concerning waste management, provides detailed guidelines for managing specific waste in Indonesia, especially waste that is hazardous, including waste from disasters, or that cannot be managed with standard waste procedures. The Regulation focuses on the following matters: classification and types of specific waste; handling procedures for waste, including separate management, transportation, and disposal methods suitable for each waste type; definition of roles of central and regional governments in implementing the waste management policies; specific procedures for handling waste resulting from disasters; detailed waste management planning, including waste volume predictions and measures for ensuring environmental sustainability.
