Minister of Trade Regulation Number 29 of 2019 concerning Provisions for the Export and Import of Animals and Animal Products.

This Regulation provides for re-arranging provisions concerning import and export of animals and animal products. The Regulation defines: animals; ruminant; animal reproduction; animal products; animal diseases; labels and packaging; import and export activity; import and export authorisation; business identification number; recycling mark for food packaging; State-owned enterprises; customs area. Matters covered by this Regulation concern: export approval and recommendations from the Minister of Agriculture; duties and obligations of exporters; measures to prevent the spread of animal diseases and ensure food security; proof of ownership of slaughterhouse and refrigerated storage rooms for animal products; content of an import approval; compliance with packaging requirements for packaging used in direct contact to food; specific requirements for packaging using plastic and compliance with recycling provisions.
