Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia no. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010 concerning drinking water quality requirements.

This Ministerial Regulation provides for determining drinking water quality health requirements. The Regulation applies to: drinking water providers, as State-owned enterprises or business activities involved in the supply of drinking water. The Regulation defines mandatory parameters for the evaluation of water quality and for the presence of physical, microbiological, chemical and radioactive elements, and empowers local governments to set additional parameters in accordance with environmental quality conditions. Matters covered by the Regulation include: internal and external monitoring; sanitation inspections, water sampling, water quality testing, analysis of laboratory examination results; Ministerial power to withdrawn from the market or prohibit the distribution of drinking water products that do no meet the sanitary requirements.
